Longwood Gardens is one of the most popular public gardens in the country. Housing a variety of constantly changing plants and exhibits. Originally and abortorium in the 1850s the property had drastically changed after Pierre du Pont purchased the property. Pierre was responsible for all of the major changes and additions to the property. His legacy lives on within the garden and his love for horticulture is the reason the gardens exist. 

I visited Longwood Gardens with Madalyn in Febuary. She visited because of her intrest in flouriculture and plants. She currently works at a flower farm and wants to pursue a career in the flouriculture field. She plans on doing an internship at Longwood Gardens in the future.
